New Paltz LARP

Soul Trap

Similar to a Jar plant, but while the Jar plant merely has to wait for its victim indefinitely, the Soul Trap actually must act on its prey to survive. A Soul Trap will clamp down, when something is in range, and the Soul of the creature will get completely sucked out of the body and into the planty jaws of the Soul Trap. It takes a full week for full digestion, thus getting the soul back is possible up until that point, but if it’s not retrieved within the day, it’s usually deformed and debilitated in some sort of way.
